CHAYOTE CHAPATHI/ROTI





INGREDIENTS


Chayote squash--------------1
Green chilly-------------------1
Wheat flour--------------------2 cups or as needed
Butter or ghee or olive oil---1 tbsp
Salt to taste


METHOD
  • Peel off the skin of chayote and remove the seed inside.Cut chayote in to pieces.
  • Now grind chayote and green chilly to a smooth paste.Add little water if needed.
  • Add a pinch of salt to it and keep it aside.


  1. Now take wheat flour in a bowl and instead of adding water for kneading the dough use the above ground chayote paste.
  2. Now apply ghee or oil in palm and knead it good like the usual chapathi dough.
  3. Make small dumplings and roll it using a rolling pin.Then cook both sides in a hot griddle.(Do the same way you make usual chapathi)
  4. Serve hot and enjoy this healthy roti.
